HZH3 Hash #175 – The “Is it Blue White and Red or Red White and Blue?” Hash – Sat, 29 August, 3.30pm

Hello again HZH3 Hashers and those who want to be,

Whether you’re a runner 跑步者, a jogger 慢跑者 or a walker 走步/爬山者, come along and hit the country roads and tea field trails while chasing the ‘hares’ through the forests and over the hills around Hangzhou with us. 欢迎大家!

The Hares for Hash #175 are Gasbag, Pussy Galore, Ring of Fire with ???.

The Hares promise you runners’ and walkers’ trails featuring fantastic, never before seen sights for HZH3 Hash #175. There will be scenic parks, forests and hills, of course, but also lakes, tea fields and gardens, monuments, and cultural sites and other stuff you’d expect on a SCENIC HANGZHOU RUN.

We will start the #175 HZH3 Hash  at Village Imperial Garden Restaurant (XiangCun Yu HuaYuan) at #76 KuoShiBan Street (near YuHuangShan Road – about 1km South of West Lake) in ShangCheng District of Hangzhou – It’s about a 300m walk from the China Silk Museum too. (NOTE: Some maps might call the street “GeShiBan Street”.)

Hares 带路”野兔”:  Gasbag, Pussy Galore and Ring of Fire with ???.

Cost 费用: 20RMB – Covers: run/hike, beer and snacks. 包括: 跑步/爬山,啤酒,小吃.

Bus 公交:  Many buses stop at the buses stops near to the meeting point too. Go to the Google Map or BaiDu Map above and then look at the nearby bus stops to see if a suitable bus route is available for you. HOWEVER, There may be bus route changes in this part of West Lake on weekends due to traffic redirection.

Public Hire Bikes 共用自行车: Why not beat the traffic jams or get some extra exercise and ride a bike to the start? There are two Red Public Hire Bike points quite near to the meeting point. See the transport map above.

After the #175 Hash we’ll have the “Circle” to award Down Downs (beer provided 免费啤酒) for transgressions of Hash etiquette or protocol, errors of judgement, and various other misdemeanours, and then everyone is invited to join us for the Bash (dinner 晚餐). NOTE: The Bash has a separate cost. 注意:晚餐是另一个费用.

You can expect HZH3 Hash runs roughly (or sometimes VERY roughly… if the hares had a big night out on the night before…) every other Saturday (i.e. fortnightly) and both runners’ and walkers’ trails will usually be set. This is usually a short cut for the Walkers’ trail and the aim is to have all Hashers finish at about the same time.

It’s fun, it’s social, it’s healthy (mostly…), so come along and be a part of it!!!

NOTE: From September, the meeting time for HZH3 Hashes will be moved forward to 2.30pm again… This is so we can get in more Hashing before the light runs out.  On! On!

Sun, Aug 30, 2015 – Nanjing H3 Hash – Special Fund-raising Hash for “Purple Sausage’s” Cancer Treatment. Bus meets at 1pm in Nanjing. Book a bus seat by 12pm (midday) on Friday, 28 Aug. Purple Sausage (aka Steve) needs our help, so this Sunday we are having a special Hash to raise money. Purple Sausage has a rare form of cancer, and the treatment is not covered by any health fund. So he has to pay for it himself. He is running out of money, and he still has a wife and a couple of kids to worry about.

So it’s a special Hash this Sunday, going all out to make a surplus which will then help Steve.

Cost is 120rmb which includes 20rmb for the bus.

Bring your sense of humour, and some extra cash to make a donation to really build up a tidy sum of money for Purple Sausage. We already heard from the lovely Hellen in Canada who is giving 500rmb (or is that dollars?)
