HZH3 Hash #141 – “The (Kinda) Great South-West Run” – (briefly) re-Hashed…

Hey Folks,

On Saturday, 21 June, the Hangzhou Hash ventured to the (kinda) great area south-west of West Lake.

The (Kinda) Great South-West Run started and finished at the Big Tree Tea House (大树茶楼) on SanTaiShan Road near the S-W corner of West Lake.

Hares were Just “Quinn” and Sweet FA. This was Just “Quinn’s” first time as a Hare and also his last Hash in China!

Despite it being a rainy day, we had a good turnout of 17 eager Hangzhou Hashers. We had a few Hash virgins too. Poisoned Apple and I (Sweet FA) manned the home fort on bag watching duties as the Hashers headed off.

Apparently, despite the expert trail setting of the Hares, the pack took a wrong turn and went on the walkers’ trail instead of the runners’ trail. Oh, well. At least the Hash Walkers went the right way!

Obviously, by the time the pack got back from the 6K Hash they were soaked to the bone, but there were still smiles all round! That’s the Hash for you!  🙂

A very good Circle, led by HEIDE, followed the Hash and then a fine Bash ensued. I think everyone was happy with the helpful Big Tree Tea House food and service.

Sadly, this was also the last Hangzhou Hash (as local residents, at least) for Just “Betty” and Tiny Two Peaks (aka Two Small Peaks). All the best on the Hash trails in Suzhou and Shanghai ladies! Make sure you visit us often. We’ll try to visit you in your new locations too.

On! On!

PS. See more a few more photos from Hash #141 in the HZH3 Photo Gallery. Unfortunately, given the rainy conditions, there weren’t many photos taken this time. If you have some others, then please send them to the mismanagement email address. Thanks!

PPS. No, we didn’t have Taiwan Beer on offer for this Hangzhou Hash. We just received a Taiwan Hash report from a couple of absentees, Heavy Junk and Private Parts, who were on holidays following the Nash Hash that was on in XiaMen over the previous weekend. Way to Hash across Asia you guys!
