HZH3 Hash #145 – “The Temples, Tall Trees, Tea Fields and Towering Hills Run” – Sat, 16 August, 3.30pm

Hi there Hashers!

Whether you’re a runner 跑步者, a jogger 慢跑者 or a walker 走步/爬山者, come along and hit the convoluted roads and twisting forest trails while chasing the ‘hares’ through the tea fields and over the hills around Hangzhou with us.

The Hares for Hash #145 are Sweet FA (Yours truly…), Phonebox, (and maybe Just “Coco”???).

I promise you runners’ and walkers’ trails featuring fantastic, never before seen sights for HZH3 Hash #145. There will be the usual spectacular Hangzhou hills and tea fields, of course, but also forests and bamboo forests, shrines and monastaries, tombs and corpses, cliffs and fast rolling boulders, twisty vines and brambles, and other great stuff you’d expect on a TEMPLE RUN.  😉  In fact, I’m only joking about one of those… OK, maybe two or three… but, which ones?

Here’s the meeting venue (it’s just a 3 – 5 minute walk south of the LingYin Temple Park gate):

Here are the details of HZH3 Hash #145 “The Temples, Tall Trees, Tea Fields and Towering Hills Run”

Saturday, 16 August 2014

16:00 (4pm) sharp!

Start Location

We will start the #145 HZH3 Hash at XiJian Tea House (Cha Zhuang), 58 TianZhu Road (actually a wide path – just 300m south of LingYin Temple Park gate)

Sweet FA, Phonebox, (and maybe Just “Coco”???).

Cost 费用: 20RMB – Covers: run/hike, beer and snacks.

Many buses go to the Lingyin Temple bus station. Some buses go along MeiLing North Road too.

There is a Red Public Hire Bike point right next to the bus station (it’s next to the toilet near the bus station passenger entrance tunnel on the left (south) side of the station). If you want to ride a red bike home then DON’T park it when you arrive, just park’n’go and re-start your time and lock it up at the Hash meeting point during the Hash. After about 2pm it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a bike there…

After the #145 Hash we’ll have the “Circle” to award Down Downs (beer provided 免费啤酒) for transgressions of Hash etiquette or protocol, errors of judgement, and various other misdemeanours, and then everyone is invited to join us for the Bash (dinner 晚餐). NOTE: The Bash has a separate cost.

You can expect HZH3 Hash runs roughly (or sometimes VERY roughly… if the hares had a big night out on the night before…) every other Saturday (i.e. fortnightly) and both runners’ and walkers’ trails will usually be set.

It’s fun, it’s social, it’s healthy (mostly…), so come along and be a part of it!!!
