NOTE: Hash #161 is an A to B Hash, so try not to take a HUGE backpack or bag full of stuff since some poor sappy sod (probably me) will have to cart everybody’s bags to the end point! Of course you might want to carry a mini backpack, satchel or a bum bag in which to put your valuables to take with you on the Hash trail for safekeeping.
Also, please be early or at least on time at 2.30pm (!!!) as I’d like to leave to take all your lousy bags to the end point at 2.45pm at the latest. There are LOTS of great restaurants and interesting shops and historic sites in the small alleys near the start point (including the Drum Tower itself), so NO excuses!!! If you are late (after 2.45pm), then you’ll have to carry your own god damn bag all the way!

The Hares for Hash #161 are Pain in the Clit (PitC) with Just “Poons” (and maybe Sweet FA).
The Hares promise you runners’ and walkers’ trails featuring fantastic, never before seen sights for HZH3 Hash #161. There will be picturesque West Lake scenery, tall tree-lined lakeside paths, historic buildings and monuments, scenic but crooked causeways and maybe a small hill or two, of course, but there will also be other lakes, other parks and gardens, and other cultural sites and other stuff you’d expect on a SCENIC HANGZHOU WEST LAKE RUN.

We will finish Hash #161 at…. Hey! Wait a minute! I’m not going to tell the lazy, short-cutting Pack that now! You’ll have to ask Sweet FA or Pain in the Clit or Just “Poons” to tell you at about the halfway point.

Cost 费用: 20RMB – Covers: run/hike, beer and snacks. 包括: 跑步/爬山,啤酒,小吃.
Bus 公交: Some buses stop near to the meeting point too. Go to the Google Map or BaiDu Map above and then look at the nearby bus stops (e.g. TongJiang Qiao (Bridge) and Gu Lou) to see if a suitable bus route is available for you. See transport map pictures for nearby bus stop locations too.
Public Hire Bikes 共用自行车: Why not beat the traffic jams or get some extra exercise and ride a bike to the start? There are a couple of Red Public Hire Bike points within 200m of the meeting point.
After the #161 Hash we’ll have the “Circle” to award Down Downs (beer provided 免费啤酒) for transgressions of Hash etiquette or protocol, errors of judgement, and various other misdemeanours, and then everyone is invited to join us for the Bash (dinner 晚餐). NOTE: The Bash has a separate cost. 注意:晚餐是另一个费用.
You can expect HZH3 Hash runs roughly (or sometimes VERY roughly… if the hares had a big night out on the night before…) every other Saturday (i.e. fortnightly) and both runners’ and walkers’ trails will usually be set.
It’s fun, it’s social, it’s healthy (mostly…), so come along and be a part of it!!!
