Hello again HZH3 Hashers and those who want to be,
Whether you’re a runner 跑步者, a jogger 慢跑者 or a walker 走步/爬山者, come along and hit the country roads, garden paths and tea field trails while chasing the ‘Hares’ through the forests and over the hills around Hangzhou with us. 欢迎大家!
The Hares for Hash #162 are: Sheep Shagger with Just “Cecilia” and Just “Cathy”.
The Hares promise you runners’ and walkers’ trails featuring fantastic, never before seen sights for HZH3 Hash #162. There will be picturesque LongJing tea field scenery, tall tree-lined tracks, creek crossings, historic buildings and monuments, plus a scenic hill or three, of course, and lots of other great stuff you’d expect on a SCENIC HANGZHOU TEA VILLAGE RUN.
HZH3 Hash #162 start / meeting venue – The Qiao Garden Restaurant and Hotel (Qiao Yuan Wo Jia 侨园我家) is in the Longjing Village. Follow the taxi through the big wooden gate posts then go down the hill to the fork in the road and the Qiao Garden Hotel is near there 100m uphill along the right hand (N-W) fork.

Meeting time 见面时间: 14:30 (2.30pm) – Please be EARLY for the pre-Hash instructions!!! – There are LOTS of great restaurants nearby!!! – Buses could be caught in traffic jams in the surrounding scenic areas, so leave home AT LEAST an EXTRA 30 – 45 minutes earlier than you think it will take!!!

We will meet at and start the #162 HZH3 Hash at Qiao Garden Hotel (Qiao Yuan Wo Jia 侨园我家), No. 162 Longjing Village, Xihu District, Hangzhou.

Hares 带路”野兔”: Sheep Shagger with Just “Cecilia” and Just “Cathy”
Cost 费用: 20RMB – Covers: run/hike, beer and snacks. 包括: 跑步/爬山,啤酒,小吃.
Bus 公交: The K27 bus goes just past 龙井村 Longjing Village (some #27 special (early morning and late evening) services go very close to the Qiao Garden Hotel). The #87 (ex Y3?) also goes to the top of the hill near the Longjing Main Gate. (click the bus stop icon on the Baidu or Google Maps). Last buses go past at about 8pm, I think.
Public Hire Bikes 共用自行车: I don’t think there is a Red Hire Bike point in LongJing Village, so if you take one, then you might be up for some late fees! Take some bike lights for safer night riding home too. I think the closest Red Hire Bike points are to the north in the China Tea Museum and to the south near the lake in the the middle of the 9 Creeks trail.
After the #162 Hash we’ll have the “Circle” to award Down Downs (beer provided 免费啤酒) for transgressions of Hash etiquette or protocol, errors of judgement, and various other misdemeanours, and then everyone is invited to join us for the Bash (dinner 晚餐). NOTE: The Bash has a separate cost. 注意:晚餐是另一个费用.
You can expect HZH3 Hash runs roughly (or sometimes VERY roughly… if the hares had a big night out on the night before…) every other Saturday (i.e. fortnightly) and both runners’ and walkers’ trails will usually be set.
It’s fun, it’s social, it’s healthy (mostly…), so come along and be a part of it!!!
